The Rev. Matthew Boulter, Associate Rector

Fr. Matt and Bouquet moved to Tyler with daughters Bella, and Eleanor,  from beautiful Austin, where Matt and Bouquet met and graduated
from The University of Texas.

An avid gardener, Bouquet has planted over 25 varieties of rose bushes in her backyard!

A former Presbyterian minister and church planter, Matt was ordained priest in the Diocese of Texas in May of 2010. In addition to playing with his girls on his days off, Matt enjoys good books, fresh pipe tobacco, substantial beverages, and long runs in solitude (not necessarily in that order!).

As a priest, Matt is especially interested in the connection between liturgical, sacramental worship and Christian contemplation, the nature and character of Holy Scripture, the role of community in the Christian life, and reaching a "post-everything" generation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
