The Service of Nine Lessons and Carols is a traditional Christmas Eve church service, most commonly associated with the Anglican Church, where nine Bible readings (lessons) are interspersed with the singing of Christmas carols, narrating the story of the fall of man, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Jesus Christ; the most famous “Nine Lessons and Carols” service is held annually at King’s College Chapel, Cambridge.
