The Rev. Tim Kennedy is the new Senior Chaplain at All Saints Episcopal School, and he will also be serving at Christ Church. For the last three years, Fr. Tim served as the Middle and Upper School chaplain at The Episcopal School of Dallas (ESD) where he also taught sixth grade religion and Upper School U.S. government. Before this he served for five years as the chaplain at Washington Episcopal School in the Diocese of Washington, where he taught religion to all students ages 3 through Eighth Grade and served as a member of the school’s executive team. Chaplain Kennedy was ordained to the transitional diaconate at Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., and ordained to the priesthood at All Saints Chapel on the ESD campus. A native of San Antonio who grew up in the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas, Rev. Kennedy completed all coursework for his Doctor of Ministry in Educational Leadership at Virginia Theological Seminary. Rev. Kennedy earned a B.A. cum laude in political science and religion from Austin College in Sherman, Texas, where he also served as Student Body President. He holds a Master of Arts in Education and Human Development from The George Washington University. He earned a M.Div. from Yale Divinity School as well as an Anglican Studies Diploma and an Educational Leadership and Ministry Certificate from Berkeley Divinity School at Yale. After college, he worked for over a dozen years for the federal government in Washington, D.C., on Capitol Hill, at the White House, and at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. In Dallas, he served as a Worship Assistant at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church; in Washington, D.C., he served as a Worship Assistant at St. Columba’s Episcopal Church.
